How to score When I Dream
When I Dream has one round per player, each player dreaming once. Fairies score 1 point per card on the yellow side and boogeymen 1 per card on the blue side; the dreamer scores 1 per yellow card, plus 2 for a retelling that names every yellow element; sandmen score 1 per yellow card plus 2 when both sides are even, the larger pile when they differ by one and the smaller pile when they differ by two or more. Add a round for each dreamer and type everyone’s points. At the end, add one more round, switch it to negative and enter each player’s penalty cards. The most points wins; a tie goes to the player with the fewest penalties, and players still tied share the victory.
